I let my brother watch an early version of my experimental film, "She's the One for Me," which explores the beauty industry's fixation on conformity. To my surprise, he quickly connected the visuals in my film to those in mind control videos used by the CIA. Although I didn't intend to imitate those videos, I decided to embrace the unintentional hypnotic quality that my work possessed. To create a vintage look, I blended footage I shot in my living room with archival material.
